My decision to apply to the APHD program at 萌妹社区 was driven by a strong inclination to help others coping with mental health issues and a desire to practice as a psychotherapist and those who seek assistance. The program's global perspective on mental health, I believe, will significantly enhance my understanding and skills in this field.

Reflecting on my past work experience, it's been a journey of varied and enriching roles. I have worked as a counselor, taught meditation to various groups, and edited and contributed to a Buddhist Journal. My experience working in prisons with both inmates and staff was very rewarding and fulfilling and gave me valuable insights into mindfulness's therapeutic power in difficult situations. I have also been actively involved in organizing cultural and religious activities for the Buddhist community in Toronto, which allowed me to stay connected to my roots while contributing to the well-being of the community here. Writing for and editing a Buddhist journal provided me with an opportunity to share my knowledge and insights into Buddhist teachings and learn from the experiences of others who contributed and shared their experiences.
