Environmental & Sustainability Education (ESE) Reps
Are you a first or second year student in ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø’s Master of Teaching (MT) Program who has an interest in Environmental and Sustainability Education (ESE)? Consider applying to be an ESE Rep for your cohort! Each year, SCAN works with ESE reps from each MT cohort to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and climate justice with ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø students and faculty.
Benefits of being an ESE Rep
- Professional Learning - gain valuable knowledge and first access to events and resources for teaching about ESE
- Advocacy - help to foster awareness about environmental & ecojustice issues and sustainability practices within your cohort
- Community - connect with other ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø students and K-12 teachers engaged with ESE
- Recognition - use the time you’ve put into being an ESE Rep towards getting your CCR Designation in ESE
Duties of ESE Reps
- Get weekly updates from the about upcoming events, and share these events & opportunities with your cohort each week
- Be a regular ‘sustainability voice’ in your classes
- Attend SCAN events as your schedule allows
Learning Events
SCAN hosts many events each year that are dedicated to deepening ESE at ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø. Join the to get updates on upcoming events! ESE reps are welcome to join these events along with their classmates. Attendance of these events counts towards your CCR Designation.
