ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø Announcement of the Appointment of Acting Associate Dean, Programs
Dear ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø Community,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Sarfaroz Niyozov as Acting Associate Dean, Programs for a one-year term beginning July 1, 2021.
Sarfaroz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning who has written, taught and supervised extensively in the areas of teaching, teacher development and education reform in developing, muslim, post-communist contexts; global education; and international and comparative curriculum studies/education. He has served in numerous administrative roles in CTL and ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø, including service as editor of the Journal of Curriculum Inquiry, Co-Chair of the Curriculum & Pedagogy program, and Co-Director of the Center for Comparative, International and Development Education. During a leave from ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø from 2015 to 2018, Sarfaroz served as Dean of the Institute for Educational Development at the Aga Khan University in Pakistan.
Sarfaroz has a distinguished record of leadership within and beyond ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø, and I know that he will continue to make important contributions to our community as he works alongside Interim Dean Normand Labrie in ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø’s senior academic leadership team.
Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Professor Niyozov as the incoming Acting Associate Dean, Programs!
Glen A. Jones, Ph.D.
