Course selection/enrolment for 2024 Summer Session (both May-to-June and July-to-August terms) begins at 6:00 am via ACORN.

The 2024 Summer course schedule and selection information will be released by noon on Wed. March 13th. (one week before enrolment begins on March 20th )
NOTE: The Summer session at �������� consists of two 6-week periods: May-June (F) and July-August (S). Course numbers ending with (Y)  run from May-August.. The term "Intersession" is historically used for the May-June period. Instructors compensate for any classes that may fall on a holiday.

• the second period (July to August) of the summer session runs from Tuesday, July 02, 2024 to August 12, 2024.

ACORN enrollment activities suspended today.    Courses may have spaces that are restricted to certain groups of students. Courses may also have spaces that are temporarily reserved for certain groups of students.  All Summer 2024 session enrollment activities are suspended on April 2nd,  while enrollment restrictions are modified to allow other student categories to enroll in any unused spaces in certain courses.  On April 3rd 12:00 AM enrollment opens with new enrollment controls, per individual Course Comment on the course schedule.

Final date for  Non-degree special student to submit a complete application for admission to the 2024 Summer Session, second term-July-August

Registration deadline for students registering or starting their program in the Summer (May to August) session; after this date, a late registration fee will be assessed. Minimum required payment due (unpaid fees from previous session[s] + 50% of Summer session tuition fees).

Lectures begin for 2024 Summer, first session-May start courses (the May to June six-week session runs from May 06, 2024 to June 14, 2024.)  Master of Teaching courses also begin May 6th. Master of Teaching students must take an elective in the May-June term.

Coursework must be completed and grades submitted for full-year and Winter session courses (except for extended courses). April 12th was the due date for grades for students graduating in June.

Waitlists will be cancelled for May start courses.

The final day for students to add May start courses via ACORN is May 8. From May 9 to May 13, instructor signed and fully approved course add forms are required.

Victoria Day (University closed)

Payment deadline to avoid service charges on unpaid Summer (May to August) session tuition and non-tuition fees for students registered in the Summer session, except for those who have successfully registered without payment because they are receiving a full funding package via a research stipend, a major award or scholarship, teaching assistantships, tuition waiver, and/or sponsorships. Monthly service charges will begin accruing on June 15.

Final date to drop May-to-June (F) section courses without academic penalty. Master of Teaching students should first consult with their program as dropping their May-June elective may mean longer program completion time.

Deadline date for submission of Individual Reading and Research Course approval forms (fully completed and signed) to be submitted to the Registrar's Office and Student Experience Registration Team for 2024 Summer session, second term (July-August) courses.

Final date to drop May-to-August (Y) section courses without academic penalty.

Canada Day observance (University closed)

Course selection/enrolment for 2024-25 Fall-Winter Session begins at 6:00 am via ACORN.

The 2024-25 Fall-Winter schedule/timetable is available one week before course selection, posted by 5 pm on July 3 (tentatively).   There are enrolment restrictions additional to those on ACORN that are listed on the schedule/timetable, ensure you check before you enroll on ACORN.

Master of Teaching program courses will be pre-loaded based on cohorts and programs. Year 2 Master of Teaching students only will be selecting their final elective course in the fall term (Sept-December)

Coursework must be completed and grades submitted for May-to-June F section courses.

Intent to Graduate: �������� master's students expecting to finish all degree requirements in  Summer should submit the �������� Intent to Graduate form between June 15 and July 15. Students who complete in Summer will graduate at Fall (November) Convocation.

Registration for 2024 Fall/2025 Winter begins.

Students become REGISTERED:

• when the Minimum Payment to Register Amount displayed on their current session ACORN invoice is credited to their student account
• or they have successfully submitted an OSAP deferral to register on ACORN
• or have an approved request to register without payment (fee deferral for award) in place
• .

Student will see status “Registered” (REG) on ACORN when registration is complete.

If you obtained a tuition deferral (register without payment) to register for the session,  pay outstanding fees by the Fall term, Winter term or Summer session payment deadlines.  .

Application deadline for Non-degree special students intending to enroll in a fall 2024 course. Non-degree special students can be defined as students who choose to take coursework and are not registered in a program of study that leads to a degree.

The first cycle of course enrolment for Fall and full year courses is July 10th to July 23th.  There is no enrolment on July 24th.  On July 25th, enrolment will reopen and unused spaces in some courses are opened to other student categories as noted in course comments on the Course Schedule.

Civic Holiday (University closed)

Grades uploaded to eMarks for Summer session courses (May to August and July to August courses).  Deadline for previous session courses which have an approved SDF on eMarks, must be amended with the final grade earned.

Coursework must be completed and grades approved by Department Chairs for May-August and July/August courses and 2024 Winter session coursework extensions. Instructors must submit grades in eMarks by September 4 to ensure approval by this date.

Deadline for SDF designation for 2024 Winter session courses to be changed to a regular grade or a failing grade.
